DOĞRUDAN YABANCI YATIRIMLAR İLE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Öz

In this study, on existence of a potential relationship between GNP, which is main indication of growth, and FDI was examined for the period of 1970-2007 yearly for Turkish economy. The mentioned relationship was investigated using E-vievs 5.0, Rats and SPSS package programs, stationarity test, Johansen-Juselius ko-entegration test, VAR causality test and varience decomposition were used. As a resut, VAR casuality test, varience decomposition showed that there exist a uni-directional causality relation running from FDI to GNP

Öz

Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de 1970-2007 döneminde ekonomik büyümenin temel göstergesi kabul edilen gayri safi milli hasıla (GSMH) ile doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar (DYY) arasında ilişki olup olmadığının ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, E-views 5.0, Rats ve SPSS paket programları kullanılarak söz konusu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin tahmin edilmesinde; birim kök analizi, Johansen-Juselius Ko-entegration testi ile VAR nedensellik analizi ve varyans ayrıştırmasından oluşan VAR analizi yöntemlerinden yaralanılmıştır. VAR nedensellik analizi, varyans ayrıştırmasıyla DYY’den GSMH’ye doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi saptanmıştır. Türkiye’de doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar ile ekonomik büyüme arasında pozitif güçlü bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir
