Öz

The aim of this study is to explain the sources of endogenous growth and to explore the relationship between the trade openness and the economic growth, from the endogenous growth theory perspective. In this context, openness can influence economic growth in many ways through technology and knowledge spillovers, increment of domestic rivalry, competition and human capital stocks. Furthermore, it reallocated resources among sectors and industries that are fostering or discouraging domestic research and innovation. In the light of theoric knowledge on endogenous growth theory, the impacts of openness on country might be able to be evaluated in a more accurate way. Moreover, it might have been an opportunity to create more beneficial openness possibilities over economics through domestic policies such as industrial, trade, education and technology

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, içsel büyümenin kaynaklarını açıklamak ve içsel büyüme teorileri çerçevesinde ekonomik büyüme ve dışa açıklık arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda dışa açıklık, teknolojik gelişme ve bilginin yayılımını sağlayarak, yurtiçi rekabet ve beşeri sermaye stoku artışlarına yol açarak, ekonomik büyümeyi olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Ayrıca açıklık, büyümeyi kaynakların sektörler ve sanayiler arasında yeniden dağılımını sağlayarak, yurtiçi araştırma ve yeniliği hızlandırarak ya da azaltarak etkileyebilir. İçsel büyüme modellerinin ortaya koyduğu teorik bilgiler ışığında, dışa açıklığın ülkeler üzerindeki etkilerini daha doğru bir biçimde değerlendirme imkanı elde edilebilir. Ayrıca dışa açıklığı, dünya ekonomileri ve özellikle gelişmekte olan ülkeler için daha yararlı kılacak; ticaret, sanayi, eğitim ve teknoloji alanlarında yurtiçi politikalar oluşturabilir
