Levallois cores, which takes first place among other core types, in blank production stage, show significant development in Paleolithic period. This development can be seen between 32 and 4th archaeological layers of Karain Cave where the stratigraphy is continuous. The proportion of the Levallois cores is not as high as the other core types in Karain Cave but, all the technical criterias are exist. When considered the capacity of the raw material used. The lineal and recurrent type Levallois cores show a homogenic distribution among archaeological layers. Most of the Levallois cores were changed into discoidal cores by reduction until the raw material exhausted. Thus, also discoidal cores are directly related to Levallois technique. The people of Karain were able to produce cores that suitable for the well shaped blanks from structurally imperfect raw material, Despite of the unsuitable raw material, Karain people had reached their aims to produce tools.
