Öz

Sosyal bilimlerde, araştırmacı, çalışmaya teori ve hipotez geliştirmekle başlar ve bununla teorinin doğruluğunu ya da yanlışlığını test eder. Pozitivist bakışı esas alan bu bilimlerde, işleyiş; kuram, varsayım geliştirme ve hipotez biçiminde olur. Araştırmada, uygun modelin yokluğunun, araştırma projesine yeni bilgiler eklemeye engel olduğu ifade edilebilir. Bu durum, uygulamalı çalışmaların amaçsız hale gelmesine neden olabilmektedir. Amaçsızlık ya da karışık amaç, yorumu etkiler ve yorumların betimsellikle karıştırılmasına neden olur. Bu durum, bilginin pratiğe dönüşümünü engeller. Bu çalışmada, sosyal bilimlerde / sosyolojide, sosyal kuram-sosyal pratik arasındaki ilişki üzerinde durulacak ve uygulamalı araştırmayla elde edilen bulguların yorumlanması sürecinde yapılan bazı hatalara değinilecektir.

RELATIONSHIP OF SOCIAL THEORY AND SOCIAL PRACTICE, AND SOME PROBLEMS REGARDING APPLIED RESEARCH FINDINGS’ INTERPRETATION IN SOCIAL SCIENCES / SOCIOLOGY

Öz

In social sciences, a researcher firstly, starts to carry out a study by developing a theory and hypothesis, and in doing so, the researcher tests the theory either confirms or falsifies it. In social sciences, the process of a research begins with developing theory, assumption and hypothesis. The lack of an appropriate model, in a project study, is an obstacle to contribute new information, and may cause applied studies aimless. Aimlessness or complicated aim might have negative impact on comment and confuse the comments with descriptivism. Therefore, it might prevent the transformation of knowledge to practice. In this study, it will be dealt with the relationship between social theory and social practice in social science/sociology and mentioned some mistakes which are faced with during interpreting the findings that are gained through applied research.
