GİRİŞİMCİLİK ARAŞTIRMALARININ ÇIKMAZ SOKAĞI KİŞİLİK ÖZELLİKLERİ YAKLAŞIMI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME VE DAVRANIŞ EKSENLİ MODELLERİN GİRİŞİMCİLİK LİTERATÜRÜNE KATKILARI

Öz

Girişimciyi, hem yöneticilerden hem de toplumdan ayırt eden kişilik özelliklerinin tespit edilmeye çalışılması, 1970 ve 1980’li yıllarda tercih edilen bir araştırma konusu olmuştur. Kişilik özellikleri yaklaşımına göre girişimcilerin işletme kurmalarını ve başarılı olmalarını sağlayan sahip oldukları ortak kişilik özellikleri belirlenebilmekte ve bu özellikler ile girişimsel davranış arasında ilişki kurulabilmektedir. Ancak bu özelliklerin sayısı neredeyse sonsuzdur. Geçmişte yapılan girişimci kişilik ve girişimci kişiliğin açıkça ayırt edilmesi araştırmalarının başarısızlığı, araştırmacılar tarafından bildirilen tutarsız bulgular, girişimcilik araştırmalarında odağı, kişilik özelliklerinden biliş ve niyet modelleri gibi yaklaşımlara sahip davranışsal yaklaşımlara yöneltmiştir. Bu nedenle algı ve diğer bilişsel fenomenler, iş kurma ve bununla ilgili riskin algılanmasında kritik öneme sahip olmaktadır. Son yıllarda elde edilen bulgular girişimcilerin girişimci olmayanlara göre bilişsel ve davranışsal süreçlerde farklılaştığını vurgulamaktadır.
