As a result of intensive urbanization, open green areas have been replaced by buildings and people have moved away from nature. The areas that people use most frequently to meet their recreational needs in the city center are urban parks. It should not be forgotten that these areas, where they can breathe in this densely built environment, should also provide therapeutic benefits to the user. The usage possibilities of Kışla Park, which is frequently used for recreational activities in the center of Kastamonu, before and after the revision and the therapeutic effects on the user will be revealed with the help of this study and the therapeutic effects of the park before and after the revision will be examined comparatively. It was tried to determine the spatial characteristics of the park before and after the revision, the intensity of use and the reasons for not being used intensively, the activities carried out in the area and the suitability of the spaces for these activities, and the changes in the mood of the users after the activities were carried out. The expert group used a scoring table and the user group used a questionnaire to evaluate the park from a therapeutic point of view. The results of the evaluation of the park by the expert and user groups were similar. After the revision of Kışla Park, it was found that it was more successful in terms of therapeutic and utilization than before, but there were deficiencies in both designs.
