The Effects of Workplace Loneliness on Job and Life Satisfaction: the Mediating Role of Leader-Member Exchange

Öz

This study was designed to determine the effect of workers’ workplace loneliness on job and life satisfaction and mediating role of leader-member exchange among these variables. In accordance with this aim, sample of this research consisted of 153 administrative personnel of Hitit University. As a result of the study, it was determined that workplace loneliness negatively affected the leadermember exchange and job and life satisfaction. Moreover, hierarchical regression analysis was carried out in order to identify whether there was an mediating role of leader-member exchange job and life satisfaction or not. As a result of this analysis, it was established that leader-member exchange had an mediating role on the effect of workplace loneliness and job and life satisfaction
