There is a consensus that the tourism industry should be carried to a more ethical platform. In this direction, this study aimed to determine the ethical jugdments of students registered with the depatment of tourism at a public university, who are potential employees of the tourism industry, about the situations they may encounter with. The situations that students might face were investigated under four scenarios: the relation of tourism with the natural environment; with the socio-cultural environment; tourism marketing,
and the employee relationships in the tourism industry. 420 usable questionnaires were
obtained from students both registered in a tourism department and other several
departments to explore if any differences exist between these two groups. The only difference was emerged for the scenario of the relationship between tourism and socio-cultural environment. The study also provides both
theoretical and practical implications.
