The Effect Of Exports On Economic Growth In Emerging Market Economies: Panel Data Analysis

Öz

In economic theory, exports play an important role in the growth of economies. It is noted that export increases allow technology to spread between countries and contribute to economic growth through various channels. In this research, the effect of exports on growth in terms of emerging market economies between 1980-2018 was examined by panel data analysis. The findings concluded that a 1% increase in exports for the 10 selected emerging market economies boosted economic growth by 0.533%.

Yükselen Piyasa Ekonomilerinde İhracatın Ekonomik Büyümeye Etkisi: Panel Veri Analizi

Öz

İktisat teorisinde ihracatın ekonomilerin büyümesinde önemli bir role sahip olduğu ifade edilmektedir. İhracat artışlarının, ülkeler arasında teknolojinin yayılmasına imkân verdiği ve çeşitli kanallarla ekonomik büyümeye katkıda bulunduğu belirtilmektedir. Bu araştırmada, 1980-2018 dönemi arasında yükselen piyasa ekonomileri açısından ihracatın büyüme üzerindeki etkisi panel veri analizi ile incelenmiştir. Ulaşılan bulgular, seçilmiş 10 yükselen piyasa ekonomileri için ihracatta %1’lik bir artışın, ekonomik büyümeyi %0,533 oranında artırdığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
