FROM SOCIAL EXCHANGE THEORY TO SOCIAL CAPITAL CONCEPTUALISATION: RATIONAL CHOICE THEORY

In the process of conceptualizing social capital, capital has been torn from its social nature. The capital is torn from the social nature, and both its movement and its historical context are ignored. Approaches based on mainstream economics in the process of demolishing capital from social nature (methodological individualism approach, social exchange theory, economic approach, rational choice theory) have an important role in the colonization of other social sciences by economics. When the economic imperialism is forced to progress within these approaches and when the reactions increase, the term of "social capital", which gives rise to the so-called unity of economic and non-economic relations to the mainstream economics and covers the superficial social capital understanding of mainstream economics, has grown. In this context, the conceptualization process of social capital will be studied.

TOPLUMSAL MÜBADELE KURAMINDAN SOSYAL SERMAYE KAVRAMSALLAŞTIRMASINA: RASYONEL SEÇIM KURAMI

Öz

Sosyal sermayenin kavramsallaştırılması sürecinde sermaye, sosyal doğasından koparılmıştır. Sermaye sosyal doğasından koparılarak hem hareketi hem de tarihsel bağlamı hiçe sayılmıştır. Ana akım iktisadın sermayeyi sosyal doğasından koparması sürecinde temel aldığı yaklaşımlar (metodolojik bireycilik yaklaşımı, toplumsal mübadele kuramı, ekonomik yaklaşım, rasyonel seçim (tercih) kuramı) diğer sosyal bilimlerin iktisat tarafından sömürgeleştirilmesinde önemli bir role sahiptirler. İktisadın emperyalizminin bu yaklaşımlar çerçevesinde ilerleyişi zora girdiğinde ve tepkiler arttığında ise ana akım iktisadın imdadına ekonomik ve ekonomik olmayanın birlikteliğini sözde ön plana çıkaran ve ana akım iktisadın katı sosyal sermaye anlayışının üstünü örtmesine yarayan “sosyal sermaye” kavramı yetişmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada sosyal sermayenin kavramsallaştırılma süreci üzerinde durulacaktır.
