A series of articles consisting of five articles titled “Psychology and Literature” by poet, writer and educator İbrahim Alâettin is published in the magazine, which contains the works and writings of the leading artists of the era. In this study, the focus will be on the articles titled “Psychology and Literature”, which both contain interdisciplinarity and are an example of literary criticism. In order to highlight the importance of İ. Alâettin's series of articles the relationship between periodicals and literature, the existence of literary criticism, which has become a genre through the Servet-i Fünun and was fed by Western thought in periodicals, and the appearance of psychological science in the Ottoman domain due to the publication activities, which have shown significant developments in the nineteenth century, will be discussed in this article.
