Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test III R Standardization for 3 01 3 12 Ages in İzmir Region

Öz

This research project is done to standardize Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test III (R) in İzmir Region. The 253 children between 3,01-3,12 years old who live in İzmir and the towns near İzmir used as subjects. In this research 253 children are used as subjects. PPTV III ( R ) target words ( N= 204 ) were translated to Turkish Language and given to the subjects individually. The number of target words which are known by subjects were used as raw scores of the subjects . In order to construct a more sensitive test, each age group divided to 4 sub groups which each has 3 mounts interval. The raw scores were used in statistical analyses. According to the analyses, raw scores converted to standard norm scores. Standard norm tables which have mean=100 and standard deviation= 10 were obtained. The standardized norm tables which have 3 mounts interval for each age group were used as our İzmir Region standardized norm values.

Öz

Bu araştırma Peabody Resim Kelime Testi III R ’nin İzmir bölgesine ait standardizasyonunu yapmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir İzmir ili içinde Gaziemir Buca Bornova Altındağ ilçelerinde ve Aliağa Dikili Torbalı çevre ilçelerinde yaşamakta olan 3 01 3 12 yaş arası 253 öğrencinin yer aldığı bu çalışmada Türkçe’ ye çevrilen PRKT R hedef kelimeler N= 204 deneklere bireysel olarak tek tek sunulmuştur Öğrencilerin bildikleri hedef kelime sayısı her deneğe ait ham puan olarak değerlendirilmiştir Daha hassas bir değerlendirme yapabilmek için her yaş grubu 3 er aylık 4 alt gruba ayrılmış ve analizler bu grupların ham puanları üzerinden yapılmıştır Ham puanların kullanıldığı analizler sonucunda ham puanlar standart puanlara dönüştürülmüş ve ortalaması 100 standart sapma değer 10 olan norm tabloları elde edilmiştir Oluşturulan üçer aylık standart norm tabloları araştırmamızın İzmir Bölgesi standardizasyon değerlerini oluşturmuştur
