Öz

Evidence-based practice gained an increasing importance as an marked subject in education, management, policy and practice in the second halfofthe 20th century. EBP improves the quality ofpatient çare and closes the gap betvveen evidence and practice. lowa model is also a system used in the practice and development of EBP. İn the model, a framevvork is presented so as to provide that nurses should decide on daily practice affecting the outcomes of patient çare, describing gradually how the changes in practice will be performed with the integration o f evidence into practice. Inconclusion, in order to increase nursing çare to the top /eve/ and improve the quality of çare, a successful and cost-effective nursing çare should be performed. İn the increase of quality of çare, the use oflovva model of EBP may be suggested

Öz

Kanıta dayalı uygulama sağlık hizmetlerinde eğitim, yönetim, politika ve uygulamada baskın bir konu olarak 20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında artan bir önem kazanmıştır. KDU'nun kullanımı, hasta bakım kalitesini geliştirmekte ve araştırma sonuçları ile uygulama arasındaki boşluğu kapatmaktadır. lowa modeli'de KDU'nun kullanımı ve geliştirilmesinde kullanılan bir modeldir. Bu modelde kanıtın uygulamaya entegrasyonu ile bir uygulama değişikliğinin nasıl yapılacağından adım adım bahsedilerek, hasta bakım sonuçlarını etkileyen günlük uygulamalar hakkında hemşirelerin karar vermesini sağlamak için bir çerçeve sunulmaktadır. Sonuç olarak; hemşirelik bakımını en üst düzeye çıkarmak ve bakımın kalitesini iyileştirmek için başarılı ve maliyet etkin hemşirelik bakımı gerçekleştirilmelidir. Bakım kalitesinin arttırılmasında, KDUlowa modelinin kullanılması önerilebilir
