Öz

Çocuk istisman olgulannda kaza sonucu olmayan kafa yaralanmaları uzun süren sakatlık ve ölüm nedenlerinin başında gelmektedir. Başın öne ve arkaya silkelenmesi ile oluşan çocuk istismar: olgulannda, bebeklerde beyin hasan. nörolojik defektler, körlük ve mental retardasyona kadar ağır yaralan -oralara neden olur. Bu makalede. Silkelenmiş Bebek Sendromu SBS 'nun insidansı. risk faktörleri. yaralanma mekanizması, klinik görünümü. tanısı, klinik yakla şımı. prognoz ve sekelleri ve korunma yöntemleri yönünden ele alınarak tanımlanmıştır. Çocuklar ve aileleri ile çalışan hemşireler SBS' un belirti ve bulgularını bilmeli ve her zaman çocuk istismar' olasılığına karşı uyanık olmalıdırlar

Child abuse by wlıiplash-shaking can lead ta severe injur-y irt itıfants. including cerebral damage, neurological defects. blindness and mental retardation. Irr iltis article, Shaken Baby Syndrome SES has been defined hy incidence, risk .factors. meclıanisrn of irtjury, clinical presantation, dkıgnosis, cliııical management. nursing implications, progrıosis and sequelae and preuention. Nurses who work with clıildren and families should be farniliar with the sigtıs and syrnptoms of SES and rnust always be alert ta the possibility of child abuse
