Öz

Venous thromboembolism is a majör clinical problem that endangers life. Even though there are well-accepted methods which are routirıely used worldwide to protect against deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, the protective measures that are available in clinical applications are sometimes overlooked. in this regard, improving the nursing çare quality, knowing and practicing the current initiatives in order to ensure patient security are required. Nurses play an important role and take responsibilities in the prevention o f deep vein thrombosis which usually has an asymptomatic course and its complications, in early diagnosis phase and in the reduction o f treatment and çare expenses. This article has been prepared as a guidance for the nurses and other staff about the clinical applications on the prevention o f deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism

VENÖZ TROMBOEMBOLİZM VE HEMŞİRELİK BAKIMI

Öz

Venöz tromboembolizm hayatı tehdit eden önemli bir klinik problemdir. Venöz tromboembolizmde kabul gören ve rutin kullanıma girmiş yöntemler olmasına rağmen, klinik uygulamalarda var olan koruyucu önlemler gözardı edilebilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda hemşirelik bakım kalitesinin gelişmesi, hasta güvenliğinin sağlanması için güncel girişimlerin bilinmesi ve uygulamaya aktarılması gerekmektedir. Çoğunlukla asemptomatik seyreden derin ven trombozu ve komplikasyonların önlenmesinde, erken tanı sürecinde ve tedavi ile bakım harcamalarının azaltılmasında hemşireler önemli rol ve sorumluluklar üstlenmektedir. Bu makale hemşire ve diğer tüm ekibin derin ventrobozu ve pulmoner emboliyi önleme konusundaki klinik uygulamalarına rehberlik etmesi amacıyla hazırlanmıştır
