Öz

Graft versus host hastalığı GVHH , allojenik hemopoetik kök hücre transplantasyonu uygulanan hastaların öncelikle hızlı hücre çoğalması gösteren organlarında hasar meydana getiren bir komplikasyondur. GVHH’nın yaptığı hasarlar hafiften, hastanın ölümüne yol açabilen şiddetli dereceye kadar farklılık göstermektedir. Akut graft versus host hastalığı olan hastanın nitelikli hemşirelik bakımının planlanması ve uygulanması hastanın yaşam kalitesini ve prognozunu olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Bu makalede hemopoetik kök hücre transplantasyonu ekibi içerisinde önemli role sahip olan hemşirenin, akut graft versus host hastalığı gelişmesi sonrası bakım verme rolünden söz edilmektedir

NURSING APPROACH IN CHILDREN WITH ACUTE GRAFT-VERSUS-HOST DISEASE

Graft-Versus-Host Disease GVHD is a complication that firstly damages organs with rapid cellular reproduction. It is seen on patients who are treated by allogenic hemopoietic stem cell transplantation. Damages that are caused by GVHD vary from light to severe damages that can cause death of the patient. Planning high quality nursing care after acute graft-versus-host disease has developed and practicing this plan improves the life quality and prognosis of the patient. This paper mentions nurses’ role, which is important in hemopoietic stem cell transplantation team, in taking care of the patient after the development of acute graft versus host disease
