Öz

Yenidoğanlarda ağrı ve analjezi konusu son yıllarda yoğun olarak ele alınmakta ve birçok çalışma ile değerlendirilmektedir. Yenidoğanlarda, eskiden var olan ağrı hissi hiç veya yeteri kadar algılanmaz düşünceleri günümüzde yerini, yeteri kadar değerlendirilemez tartışmalarına bırakmıştır. Yenidoğanda ağrı yanıtları donanımlı tanımlama ölçümleriyle sağlanır. Bu ölçümler sayesinde ağrı yönetim stratejileri değerlendirilebilir. Ancak halen, bebeklerin tanılamasında optimal yaklaşım çözüm beklemektedir. Bu çözümsüzlük, ağrıda farmakolojik, çevresel ve davranışsal yani non-farmakolojik ağrı azaltma uygulamalarına ilgiyi sürekli kılmaktadır

ASSESMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF INFANT PAIN

Öz

In recent years the issue of pain and artaigesia in newboms has been extensively considered and assessed in a rıumber of studies. The former thoughts that. "sence of pain wos not perceived or insufficiently perceiued in newhoms"; replaced with arguments thal. "it can not be appropriately evaluated" today. In newboms pain re sponses are provided through equipped descri ptiv e measurements. Pain management strategies can be evaluated through these measurernents. But. yet optimal approach in diagnosing the pain in infants remains ta be resolvect. This Iack of resolution sustains the attention giyen ta pharmacologic, environmental and behavioural that is non-pharmacologic pain reducing applications
