Nursing Care in Bariatric Surgery

Öz

Obesity is a serious health problem that occurs as a
result of increasing the amount of fat in the body to disrupt health. In
obesity frequency, it affects the quality of life negatively in every age
group. The incidence of chronic diseases with obesity is increasing. In this
respect, it is seen as a risk factor for chronic diseases. The pathophysiology
and obesity of obesity disrupt the general health status and the importance of
nursing care to be given to patients in obesity surgery is increasing. In this
article, in order to obtain positive patient care results, nursing practices
that reduce the risks that may occur in the care of patients with bariatric
surgery candidates, prevent the development of complications and accelerate the
recovery are examined in the light of the literature. In this article, nursing
care, which will be given before, during and after bariatric surgery, was
announced.

Özet:Obezite(şişmanlık),
vücutta yağ miktarının sağlığı bozacak şekilde artması sonucu ortaya çıkan ve
giderek yaygınlaşan ciddi bir sağlık problemidir. Obezite sıklığında dünya
genelinde her yaş grubunu etkileyen artış nedeniyle bireylerin yaşam kalitesini
olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Obeziteyle birlikte kronik hastalıkların görülme
sıklığı da artmaktadır. Bu yönüyle aslında kronik hastalıklar için risk faktörü
olarak görülmektedir. Obezitenin patofizyolojisi ve genel sağlık durumunu
bozması obezite cerrahisinde hastalara verilecek hemşirelik bakımının önemi
daha da artmaktadır. Bu makalede olumlu hasta bakım sonuçlarını elde edebilmek
için bariatrik cerrahi adayı olan hastaların bakımında yaşanabilecek riskleri
azaltan, komplikasyonların gelişmesini önleyici ve iyileşmeyi hızlandıran
hemşirelik uygulamaları literatür bilgileri ışığında incelendi. Bu makalede
bariatrik cerrahi öncesi, sırası ve sonrası
verilecek olan hemşirelik bakımı, açıklandı.
