In this study, it is aimed to reveal the scientific approach to mask use and protection in COVID-19 pandemic by rapid systematic review of mask use in COVID-19 pandemic. Within the framework of the search strategy created, a search was made with keywords and in the specified time, period and 27 articles were included in the study. According to the studies included, although the usage environments of the masks and the people they are expected to use are different, the protection levels are; N95 and similar (such as FFP2, FFP 3) masks, surgical / medical masks and non-medical (such as polypropylene, cotton, polyester, cellulose, silk) masks are seen. The mask provides the prescribed protection together with physical distance and hygiene; It was concluded that the findings, discussions and suggestions regarding the use of masks vary according to the existing scientific evidence, potential sources and mask types, and the current information and published suggestions regarding the use of masks should be continued periodically, depending on the new evidence in the process.
