Öz

This article examines the parallel evolution of ballet and dance—integral components of the performing arts—alongside music. Originating as a branch of dance, ballet has, over the centuries, developed into a distinct academic discipline. A review of international literature reveals the existence of numerous written sources, musical scores, librettos, and related materials concerning the field. However, within the context of Türkiye, there is a noticeable lack of guiding resources for the younger generation with academic and artistic interest in this discipline, particularly regarding the pathways they might follow. In response to this gap, the present study aims to serve as a general reference source for young individuals who aspire to pursue a career in ballet accompaniment. The research data were collected using a qualitative research approach through comprehensive literature review. The study explores the emergence and spread of ballet across Europe beginning in the Baroque Period and highlights its peak development in Russia, where composers such as Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky left a lasting mark on the history of both ballet and music. Furthermore, the study exemplifies the types of music used in ballet today—ranging from conservatory-level education to professional performance—and examines the contexts in which these musical materials are applied

MÜZİK İLE DANSIN EŞ ZAMANLI GELİŞİMİ VE BALE EŞLİĞİNİN ÖNEMİ

Öz

Bu makale, sahne sanatlarının önemli bir parçası olan bale ve dansın müzik ile eş zamanlı evrimini incelemektedir. Dansın bir parçası olan bale sanatı yüzyıllar içinde kendine özgü akademik bir alan haline gelmiş; baleye özgü adımlamaların ortaya çıkması ile beraber, zaman içinde genel sanat dallarından ayrılarak kendine ait konuları ve besteleri olan özgün bir sanat dalı olmuştur. Dünya literatürü incelendiğinde alan ile ilgili pekçok yazı kaynağı, nota, libretto vb. olduğu görülmekle beraber ülkemizde bu alana ilgi duyan gençlerin nasıl bir yol çizeceğini gösteren kaynakların olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu nedenle araştırmada bale piyanistliği mesleğine akademik ve sanatsal ilgi duyan genç kuşak için genel bir kaynak oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri nitel araştırma yöntemi, kaynak taraması yoluyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada bale sanatının Barok Dönem’de ortaya çıkışından itibaren Avrupa’ya yayılımı ve ardından Rusya’da tepe noktaya ulaştıktan sonra Pyotr İlyiç Çaykovski gibi bale ve müzik tarihine damga vuran bestecileri yaratması ele alınırken; günümüzde, konservatuvarlarda eğitim sürecinden profesyonel hayata değin balede kullanılan müziklerin neler olduğu ve nerelerde kullanıldığı örneklenmiştir.
