In 1993, after completing his master's degree at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry, he started his doctorate education at Ankara University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1994. Between 2001-2015, he worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist and Invited Lecturer at the Middle East Technical University Health Centre. In 2011, he received his "Associate Professor of Science" in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2015, he started his academic career as an Associate Professor at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2017, he received the title of Professor. In 2023, Lokman Hekim University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, started teaching as a Professor. He has studies published in local and foreign journals on Tempomandilbuler joint, biomaterials, training simulators, dental implants. He is currently working as a Professor of the Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Önder has many scientific articles published in important journals in his field and is a member of professional organisations. He is currently the president of the ACBID association. He is interested in temporomandibular joint diseases and surgery, orthognathic surgery, advanced implant surgery, biomaterials and trauma.
 

I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Gazi University in 2001. I completed my PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Institute of Health Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University, in 2007. I am currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ondokuz Mayıs University. My academic work primarily focuses on temporomandibular disorders, facial trauma, and the diagnosis and management of orofacial pain. I am also interested in education, quality management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Erciyes University in 2012. After completing her specialty training at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Faculty of Medicine, Erciyes University, between November 2012 and April 2018, she was awarded the title of Specialist Doctor in 2018. Between 2018 and 2020, she completed her compulsory public service at the Rize İshakoğlu Çayeli State Hospital, under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey. During this period, she regularly provided theoretical and practical training in Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to physicians, auxiliary healthcare staff, and non-medical support personnel within the institution.

In 2020, she began her role as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kırıkkale University, in the Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery. She actively contributed to the establishment and operation of the operating room and inpatient service units, which started operating in 2022 at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kırıkkale University. She continues her academic career as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Kırıkkale University.

Since 2023, she has been serving as the Vice Chair of the Scientific Committee on Anesthesia in Dentistry, operating under the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. Her scholarly contributions include numerous national and international publications in the fields of anesthesiology, dental anesthesia, intensive care, and medical education.

Prof. Dr. Fethi ATIL is Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and a faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mersin University. He also serves as Director of the Biotechnology Research and Application Center at Mersin University.
His clinical expertise encompasses dental implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial traumatology, temporomandibular joint surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and maxillofacial tumor surgery and reconstruction.
His research interests include AI-assisted surgical planning, augmented reality-based navigation systems, regenerative biomaterials, and dental education technologies.
In the field of educational technology, he focuses on simulation-based learning environments, virtual reality-supported preclinical education modules, AI-integrated assessment systems, and the integration of blended learning models into dental curricula.
He serves as the founding chair of the Climate Change and Sustainability Working Group established within the Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AÇBİD), actively working to promote sustainable dentistry practices.

I was born in Ankara in 1974. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education at T.E.D. Ankara College. I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, where I began my studies in 1991, in 1996.

Before graduation, during the 1994–1995 academic year, I participated in clinical and laboratory work for one month at the Panum Institute Dental School (Copenhagen, Denmark) through TurkDentSIC (Turkish Dental Students International Committee – Turkish Dental Association Student Branch).

In 1997, I started working as a research assistant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry. During this period, I completed a total of 15 months of rotations in the departments of General Surgery, Anesthesiology, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the same university.

In 2003, I earned the title of Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with my thesis titled “Investigation of clinical and morphometric changes in oral mucosal lesions with malignant potential.” In the same year, I began working as a specialist dentist at Başkent University Adana Practice and Research Center.

In 2005, I was appointed Assistant Professor at Başkent University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I received the title of Associate Professor in 2007 and Professor in 2013 at the same department.

Between June 2010 and February 2018, I served as the Clinical Director of the Oral and Dental Health Department at Başkent University Adana Practice and Research Center. On February 27, 2018, I left this position and began practicing in my own clinic.

My main areas of interest include oral surgery, advanced dental implantology, maxillofacial deformities, maxillofacial trauma, and oral diseases.

I have publications in international journals, as well as oral presentations and national/international book contributions.

I am a member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Association (AÇBİD) and the Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (TAOMS).

I am married, have one child, and have a good command of English.

Dr. Umut Tekin Biography

She graduated as the top student from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 1997, then completed her doctorate at Ankara University, Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery, earning her PhD in 2002. In 2003, she became an Assistant Professor at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Dentistry and served as the founding Vice Dean of the same faculty from 2008 to 2009. She obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2007.

Between 2011 and 2012, Dr. Tekin conducted numerous research projects at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA, under the TÜBİTAK post-doctoral research fellowship program.

She currently works as a Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Tekin has published many scientific articles in prestigious journals in her field, is a member of various peer-review and professional organizations, and has organized numerous courses, congresses, and workshops related to her specialty.

Prof. Tüz completed his OMFS training at Ankara University. He has held positions of Vice Dean and Dean at Kırıkkale University and currently serves as a faculty member at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara.He has served as both Chairman and Member of specialty-related committees and has held executive roles, including Board Member and President of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ACBID).

His main clinical interests include orthognathic surgery, management of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), maxillofacial trauma, and oral surgery.

He was born in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2003. In 2010, he completed his PhD at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was appointed Assistant Professor in 2010 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2017. In 2024, he was awarded the title of Professor. He has served as a member of an Ethics Committee, holds memberships in national and international scientific associations, and has acted as an editor and reviewer for international journals.
