<p>The Association’s general purpose is to ensure the better education and training of dentists and students in the field of communication and surgery related to the oral and maxillofacial region and adjacent areas; to facilitate their participation in seminars and other activities both within and outside of courses, as well as their engagement in research; to represent them; and to collaborate with associations, committees, institutions, and organizations working in the same field;<br />a) To conduct studies regarding the standards and minimum requirements for the basic education in Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases and Surgery;<br />b) To ensure that educational institutions are appropriately organized in accordance with these standards; to support and coordinate inter-institutional cooperation for this purpose; and to take necessary initiatives for the standardization of basic specialty education;<br />c) To promote Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in our country and prevent unqualified and uninformed personnel from practicing in this field;<br />d) Organize Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery congresses and meetings, combining them with related research, presentations, symposia, or panel discussions in our country, and attract the attention of all stakeholders to these congresses;<br />e) Protect and represent professional integrity;<br />f) You may utilize foundations and institutions to carry out your activities;<br />g) The Association does not engage in politics, does not permit the use of its objectives and mission for political election propaganda, and does not engage in religious activities.</p>
