Designing a CANBUS Wi-Fi Converter to Use Industrial Internet of Things

Abstract

Today, with the widespread use of the internet, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged with the connection of all kinds of devices to the internet.The Internet of Things is explain with systems that are related to each other, provided with computing devices, digital machines, mechanical objects, or non-unique, that can transfer data over the network without the need for human beings.Industrial Internet of Things is also the application of this formation to industrial machines, and it is growing and spreading rapidly.In this study, it is aimed to transfer the "CANBUS" communication protocol used in industry and vehicles onto the network by using an intermediate interpreter device and to bring the Internet of Things feature to industrial machines that do not have Internet of Things feature.Cause of the “CANBUS” communication protocol structure, devices up to 127 devices can be included in the system.With help of the device planned to be built, the data of all these devices will be transferred to the internet environment without the need for any human intervention, and as a side factor, device settings and configurations will be made over the internet when security is ensured.As a result of the paper, it has been shown whether the design, systems, usage requirements and benefits of this device are sufficient for machines in industry.
