A Review of Sensor Patches from Wearable Technologies in Healthcare 4.0

Öz

While we first hear about the concept of Industry 4.0 that has emerged since 2011 in the field of industry, we also see its effects in the field of health. Automation and technological developments that come with the concept of Industry 4.0; in the field of health has led to the emergence of the concept of Health 4.0. Health 4.0 is based on the priority of individualizing, delivering and virtualizing health solutions. With the active role of smart phones in our lives in Industry 4.0; wearable technologies working with smart phones are also preferred by people today. Smart watches, smart shoes, smart sensor patches, smart glasses, smart clothes that can work with our smart phones can be given as examples of wearable technologies. Using these wearable technologies allows individualization of health solutions in Health 4.0. With smart watches, we can measure our pulse and control our sleep times. We can see how much we walk, and how many calories we burn with smart shoes. With smart clothes, we can heat and cool our body to adjust the temperature level of our body. We can connect to the internet with smart glasses, we can find the equivalent of the text we read in different languages. Even the smart glasses designed for the visually impaired allow the person to select objects more easily. Brain computer interfaces (BBA) are used to measure brain signals, allowing people to access the internet with brain signals and to use their previously damaged limbs as healthy individuals. With smart sensor patches, we can measure our stress level, learn our glucose value, take ECG, and take our medication or vaccine at the required dose. We can even provide more motivation by stimulating certain parts of our brain. In this study, we will talk about sensor patches, which are the wearable technologies used in the health field recently, and how they affect our lives and how they play a role in the continuity of our health.

Sağlık 4.0’da Giyilebilir Teknolojilerden Sensör Yamalar Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Öz

2011 yılından itibaren Endüstri 4.0 kavramını öncelikle sanayi alanında duyarken, birçok alanda olduğu gibi sağlık alanında da etkilerini görmekteyiz. Şöyle ki; Endüstri 4.0 kavramıyla gelen otomasyon ve teknolojik gelişmeler sağlık alanında da Sağlık 4.0 (Health 4.0) ya da Medikal Endüstri 4.0 kavramlarının ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Sağlık 4.0, sağlık çözümlerinin bireyselleştirilmesi, uç noktalara iletilmesi ve sanallaştırılması önceliğini esas almaktadır. Akıllı telefonların Endüstri 4.0 sürecinde hayatımızdaki aktif rolüyle birlikte; akıllı telefonlarla ortak çalışan giyilebilir teknolojiler de günümüzde insanlar tarafından çokça tercih edilmeye başlanmıştır. Akıllı telefonlarımızla ortak çalışabilen akıllı saatler, akıllı ayakkabılar, vücudumuza yapıştırılan akıllı sensör yamalar, akıllı gözlükler, akıllı kıyafetler giyilebilir teknolojilere örnek olarak verilebilmektedir. Bu giyilebilir teknolojileri kullanmak Sağlık 4.0’daki sağlık çözümlerinin bireyselleştirilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Akıllı saatler ile nabzımızı ölçebilir, uyku saatlerimizi kontrol edebiliriz. Akıllı ayakkabılar ile ne kadar yürüdüğümüzü, ne kadar efor sarf ettiğimizi, kaç kalori yaktığımızı bilebiliriz. Akıllı kıyafetler ile vücudumuzun sıcaklık seviyesini ayarlamak için vücudumuzu ısıtıp, soğutabiliriz. Akıllı gözlükler ile internete bağlanabilir, okuduğumuz metnin farklı dillerdeki karşılığını bulabiliriz. Hatta görme engelliler için tasarlanan akıllı gözlükler kişinin cisimleri daha kolay belirlemesine ve hayatını daha kolay idame ettirmesini sağlamaktadır. Beyin sinyallerini ölçmek için kullanılan beyin bilgisayar arayüzleri (BBA) ile de kişilerin beyin sinyallerini kullanarak internete girmeleri, daha önceden hasar gören uzuvlarını sağlıklı bireyler gibi kullanmaları sağlanmaktadır. Akıllı sensör yamalar ile stres seviyemizi ölçebilir, glikoz değerimizi öğrenebilir, ECG çekebiliriz, ilaçlarımızı ya da aşımızı gerekli dozda alabiliriz. Hatta beynizimin belli bölgelerinin uyarılmasını sağlayarak daha fazla motivasyon sağlayabiliriz. Bu çalışmada son zamanlarda sağlık alanında kullanılan giyilebilir teknolojilerden olan sensör yamalardan bahsedilecek ve hayatımızı nasıl etkilediği ve sağlığımızın devamlılığında nasıl rol aldığı üzerine durulacaktır.
