A Linguistic Analysis of Course Books For Turkish Language: A Comparison of the 2019 Turkish Curriculum and the 2024 Maarif Century Turkish Curriculum in Terms of Vocabulary

Öz

The education system is a constantly evolving and changing system. The education system as a whole is changing due to the developing world system, technology and sociological elements. Undoubtedly, not only the changing system but also the curriculum is changing. The 2024 Turkey Century Maarif program education system has changed. The Turkish course curriculum is also one of the changing programs. In this study, it is aimed to compare the vocabulary area in TDÖP by scanning and evaluating the 2019 TDÖP and 2024 TDÖP. The document review model based on qualitative research methods was preferred in the research. The data were collected by examining the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade Turkish course books and documents published by the Board of Education and Training affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The data were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method and the findings were created. According to the findings obtained, it is possible to say that the 2024 Turkish Course Program is a more efficient and rich program.
