Camille Claudel and Yayoi Kusama in the Context of Digital Art

Yıl 2024, Cilt: 2 Sayı: 2, 119 - 131, 28.11.2024

Öz

This research examines the careers of two female artists who lived in different time periods and cultures, Yayoi Kusama and Camille Claudel, and examines the reflections of these artists' artistic expressions in the digital art world. The research reveals how the works of these two artists are transformed by modern interpretations using digital art techniques and tools as well as traditional art methods and how they interact with new media arts.
In the context of this relationship, the research was limited to the literature and studies examined by adopting comparative analysis and logical reasoning techniques from qualitative research methods.
The findings show how the works of Yayoi Kusama and Camille Claudel were transformed through digital art tools and transferred to new generations, while art plays an important role as a tool of both individual and social expression, and digital technologies enable it to reach wider audiences by increasing the universality and inclusiveness of art. The results showed how Claudel and Kusama's artistic expressions were reinterpreted with digital tools.
