Öz

Self-defined as person individual being, while physical disability is the condition of disability of the person to perform his /her natural role in life and that is connected with age, sex, social and cultural characteristics. Academic achievement is the result which the student achieve /gain after the progress of learning and teaching. The aim of this study is, to study self concept of physically disability pupils and its relationship with academic achievement .The study followed the descriptive method. The sample of the study of Physically Disability is (70) pupils (males 33, female 34) in the basic stage of education. The sample was chosen stratified .The tools of data collection are, self-concept scale and pupil's scores. For data analysis, the study used Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS). The study came to: There is no positive statistical correlation between self-concept of physically disability pupils and academic achievement. In addition, there are no differences with statistical significance in the average scores of physically disability pupils in self-concept related to studying level (3rd class – 6th class). There are differences with statistical significance in the average scores of physically disability pupils in self-concept related to sex (male – female) infavor of females. There are differences with statistical significance in the average scores of physically disability pupils in self-concept related to the degree of disability, infavor of the slight disability .There are no differences with statistical significance in the average scores of physically disability pupils in achievement related to sex (male – female). Also there are no differences with statistical significance in the average scores of physically disability pupils in achievement related to the degree of disability. The study recommended that: Qualify the handicapped for education and enhancing schools and universities to realize this properly. Awareness to community in general, and this should be by means of awareness and instruction programs through media.
