Ni, Cu and Pb Accumulation in Vegetables Irrigated with Different Water Sources in Nevşehir

Öz

Heavy metals tend to accumulate in living organisms, it is possible them to accumulate in certain parts and reach intense quantities. In our study; Four different plant species, (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. (Tomato), Capsicum annuum L. (pepper), Allium cepa L. (onion), Phaseolus vulgaris L. (bean)), soil from these plants grow and water (wells, rivers, channel, stream) were collected. Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu) and Lead (Pb) levels were determined in these samples using the ICP-OES instrument.  According to the results obtained from our study; 5.3583 μgg-1 Ni was detected in the Lycopersicon esculentum leaf collected from the Sulusaray location. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), some vegetables have exceeded their limit values, the maximum accumulation form was found to be root> stem> leaf>fruit. As a result; it was determined that the highest heavy metal values were generally found at the Avanos station, which was watered with Kızılırmak water, while the lowest heavy metal contents were found in the samples at the Kavak station, which is the control point and was watered with the well water.
