Engelli Çocuklarda Bütünleşme: Kamp ve Kamp Personelinin Önemi

Öz

Entegresyon (bütünleşme) çok fazla hazırlık ve çalışma gerektiren bir süreçtir. Bütünleşmiş rekreasyon programları, engelli çocuklarda özsaygı, benlik kabulü ve özgüveni geliştirmiştir. Bütünleşmiş kamp ortamları, engelli çocuklar ve akranları arasındaki sosyal etkileşimin olumlu gelişimine de yardımcıdır. Fiziksel, sosyal ve program açısından bütünleşmiş olma gibi üç ölçütü oluşturma başarısını göstermiş bir kamp, engelli veya engelsiz çocukların geri kalan yaşantılarında fayda sağlayabilecek potansiyele sahiptir. Ama gereken özelliklere sahip personel olmaksızın bu ölçütlerin hiç biri sağlanamaz. Personel, destekleyici ortamın temel unsurudur. Tüm çocukların, tam olarak fayda sağlayabilmeleri için tüm personel ve gönüllülerin bütünleşme hakkında eğitimden geçirilmesi gerekir
