Sessiz İstifa Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’ye Uyarlanması: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Öz

Sessiz istifa kavramı ilk olarak, 2009 yılında ekonomist Mark Boldger tarafından işgörenlerin işlerine olan asgari bağlılığını tanımlamak için uzun zamandır var olan bir davranış için yeni bir terim olarak ortaya atılmıştır. Sessiz istifa, düşük iş katılımı, iş tatminsizliği ve tatmin edici olmayan işgören-işveren ilişkileri nedeniyle asgari iş gereksinimlerini aşma konusundaki isteksizliği yansıtır. İşgören, zorunlu görevlerini yerine getirirken örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışlarından olan mesaiye kalma, işe erkenden başlama veya zorunlu olmayan toplantılara katılma davranışlarını sergilemekten kaçınır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Karrani, Bani-Melhem ve Mohd-Shamsudin (2023) tarafından geliştirilen “Sessiz İstifa Ölçeği”nin (SİÖ) Türkiye şartlarında geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasını yapmaktır. Sessiz istifa ölçeği, bireysel düzeyde işten kopuşu, düşük örgütsel bağlılığı ve işte fazladan çaba göstermemeyi ölçen bir ölçektir. Çalışmada, ölçek uyarlama sürecine, literatür taramasına, öğretmenlere ölçeklerin uygulanması ve uygulanan ölçeklerden elde edilen verilerin analizine ilişkin bilgi verilmiştir. Nicel analizde, sessiz istifa ölçeği geçerlik ve güvenilirlik analizleri ile test edildiğinde iyi psikometrik özelliklere sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. İşgören, yönetici öncelikleri ve deneyimleri pandemi sonrası dünyada gelişmeye devam edeceğinden, sessiz istifayı değerlendirmek ve izlemek faydalı olacaktır. Bu uyarlanan ölçek ile çağdaş işyerlerinde sessiz istifanın yaygınlığı ve altında yatan nedenler araştırılabilir. İşgören davranışının genellikle göz ardı edilen yönünü aydınlatarak örgütler, sessiz istifanın olumsuz etkilerini ele alma ve azaltma konusunda fikir edinebilir, daha şeffaf ve daha olumlu bir çalışma ortamı yaratabilir.
