MAKSİLLER MOLAR DİŞLERDEKİ KÖK KANAL SAYISI İNSİDANSININ OPERASYON MİKROSKOBU İLE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ: İN VİVO

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, operasyon mikroskobu (OM) kullanılarak maksiller molar dişlerde bulunan kanalların sayısının yüzdesel oranının ve kanal anatomisinin incelenmesi, Türk toplumunda cinsiyete ve yaşa göre farklılıkların belirlenmesidir. Çalışmada Erciyes Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi, Diş Hastalıkları ve Tedavisi Anabilim Dalı kliniğine başvuran hastalardan maksiller molar dişlerine kök kanal tedavisi endikasyonu konulanlar yer aldı. Çalışma kapsamına 85 kadın, 113 erkek toplam 198 hasta dahil edildi. Kanallar OM kullanılarak belirlendi. Dördüncü kanal görülme oranı % 35.3 idi. Yaş gruplarının istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırılması sonucunda anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu tespit edildi. Tüm gruplar değerlendirildiğinde kanal sayısındaki değişikliğin cinsiyetler arasında farklılık göstermediği belirlendi. Sonuç olarak, maksiller molar dişler içinde dördüncü kanal görülme oranının yüksek olduğu bu nedenle bu dişlerin endodontik tedavileri sırasında mevcut olandan bir fazla kanalın araştırılması gerektiği kanısına varıldı. Ayrıca yaşla birlikte dentin depozisyonun artması nedeniyle dördüncü kanal görülme oranında bir azalma meydana geldiği belirlendi

The Evaluation of the Incidence of Root Canal in Maxillary Molar Teeth Using Dental Operating Microscope: In vivo

Öz

The aim of this study is to determine the percentage of root canals to study the root canal anatomy of maxillary molar teeth and identify the differences in sex and age, in Turkish population using operating microscope (OM). In this study the patients who applied to Erciyes University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics to racaive root canal treatment to maxillary molar teeth are included. Eighty five female, 113 male, a total of 198 patients were included in the study. The canals were detected using OM. The incidence of forth canal in molar teeth is % 35.3. Statistically significant differences were found between the age groups. However, there was no statistically significant difference between two genders in terms of the root canal numbers. As a result, it was concluded that the incidence of the fourth canal in maxillary molar teeth is very high and therefore one more canal than the existing one should always be searched during their endodontic treatments. Also due to the dentin deposition with age, it is determined that the incidence of the fourth canal decreases
