Öz

Estetik, güzellik ve çekicilik algısı insan psikolojisinin
gelişiminde önemli bir role sahiptir. Yüzünde şekil bozukluğu olan insanların estetik ve fonksiyonel kaygılarının yanı sıra en önemli psikolojik rahatsızlıkları
psikososyal anlamdaki kaygılarıdır. Ortognatik cerrahi
ile sağlanan estetik, fonksiyonel ve psikolojik faydalar
sayesinde son dönemlerde ortognatik cerrahi tedaviye
olan ilgi artmıştır. Ortognatik cerrahi sonrası hasta
memnuniyeti coğunlukla yüksek olmasına karşın bazı
faktörlerin etkisi ile sonuç her zaman memnun edici
bulunmamaktadır. Ortognatik cerrahi ile ilgili hasta
memnuniyetinin artmasında, operasyon hakkında hastanın bilgilendirilmesi, hastanın beklentilerinin göz
önünde bulundurulması ve hasta seçimi ve hastanın var
olan psikolojik durumu çok önemli rol oynamaktadır.
Son zamanlarda ortognatik cerrahi sonrası fiziksel düzelmenin yanında hasta psikolojisi ve hasta memnuniyetinin değerlendirilmesinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır.

Patıent Psychology And Satısfactıon About Orthognathıc Surgery Treatment

Öz

Aesthetics, beauty and attractiveness have an
important role in the development of human
psychology. People with facial deformity have aesthetic
and functional concerns in addition to the most
important uneasiness as psychosocial concern. Due to
the aesthetic, functional and psychological
improvements provided by orthognathic surgery to the
patients, interest in orthognathic surgery has increased
recently. Although patient satisfaction after
orthognathic surgery is usually high, with the effects of
some factors, the results of treatment has not been
found always satisfactory. Increasing patient
satisfaction with orthognathic surgery, informing the
patient about the operation, consideration of the
patient's expectations, and the patient's choice and the
patient's current psychological state play a very
important role. Recently, emphasis has been placed on
the importance of evaluating patients psychology and
patient satisfaction as well as physical correction after
orthognathic surgery.
