ı - Sivas Vilayeti Kangal Kazasının Gurunşah Çiftliğinde bini mütecaviz

koyunlardan yeni doğan ve ı5 günlüğe kadar kuzularda vukubulan telefatın,

hasta ve yeni ölmüş kuzular üzerinde yapılan klinik, otopsi, bakteriyolajik ve

serolajik muayenelerle. cı. Welchii-Tip B. den mütevellit, % 30'a kadar varan

ölüm tevlit eden akut seyirli bir kuzu dizanterisi olduğu tesbit edilmiştir.

2 - Konulan bu teşhis, İngilteredeki «The Wellcome Research Laboratories,

Langley Court, Beckenham, Kent» Laboratuvariarına suş'lar gönderilerek

teyid ettirilmiştir. Ayrıca mezkür Enstitü tarafından gönderilen aşı ve konsantre

serumlarlada hastalığın profilaksisi, seroflaksisi ve aşılamaları üzerinde

çalışmalara başlanmıştır.

ı - A disease has occured in new born lambs up to ı3 days old, which

were born from more than one thousand ewes, in the farm of Gurunşah , Kangal-

Sivas.

Clinic, bacteriologic, pathologic and seralogic examinations have been

made in the sick and dead lambs and the agent of the disease has been found

Cl. Welchii-Type B. İt was acute disease and its mortality was 30 per cent.

2 - We had sent our identified strains to the w.eııcome Research Laboratory,

Beckenham, Kent-England, and they confirmed our diagnosis. Besides,

Wellcome İnstitute had sent to us vaccine and concentrate lamb dysentery

serum. We started to wor!{ with this vaccine and serum on protective and

theropetic experiments.
