The Investigation of Brucella canis Antibodies by Mercaptoethanol Micro Agglutination Test in Horses. Sera of 78 horses were tested by mercaptoethanol micro agglutination test for agglutinins to Brucella canis. A titer of 1:16 or more in mercaptoethanol microagglutination test was considered as indicative of active infection. No sera were found to be positive at this titer. Of 78 sera investigated, 37.1per cent were positive at 1:4 titer and 16.6 per cent were positive at 1:8 titer. It was concluded that a survey which will be performed with numberous sera containing wide variety of horses may give more reliable results.

Brucella Canis'e Karşı Olan Antikorların Atlarda Merkaptoetanol Mikroaglütinasyon Testi ile Araştırılması
Toplam 78 atın serumları merkaptoetanol mikroaglütinasyon testi ile Br. Canis antikorları yönünden incelendi. Merkaptoetanol mikroaglütinasyon testinde 1:16 veya üstündeki sulandırmalarda pozitif reaksiyon veren serumlar aktif inkesiyonun belirtisi olarak kabul edildi. Bu titrede pozitif reaksiyon veren serum bulunmadı. İncelenen serumların %37.1'i 1:4 sulandırmada, % 16.6'sı 1:8 sulandırmada pozitif reaksiyon verdi. Daha çok sayıda örnek ile ve daha geniş kapsamlı bir at populasyonunu içine alan bir araştırmanın yararlı olacağı kanısına varıldı.
