Bacillus cereus detection in milk samples from cows with mastitis in Ankara Region.

Öz

in this research project 366 cow milk samples with mastitis were examined.
B. cereus w as isolated and identified from 4 samples (1.1 %). This isolated
strains were inoculated to sheep by intramammary 2 ml (8x10 13
' germ/ml) each. In histopathologic examination of mammary tissue sections from
sheep slaughtered five days after inoculation , Galactophoritis et mastitis
catarrhals acuta and slaughtered seven days after inoculation,mastitis.
interstitialis nonpurulenta was observed. lt w as concluded that B. cereus should
be considered as a mastitis agent in cattle and sheep.

Ankara Bölgesindeki Mastitisli İnek Sütlerinde Bacillus cereus Aranması

Öz

Bu çalışmada 366 adet mastitisli inek sütü incelemeye alındı. Bunlardan 4
(% 1.1 )'ünde B. ce re us izole ve identifiye edildi. izole edilen bu suşlar koyunlara
intramammal olarak 2 ml. (8x10 13 germ/ml) verildi. 5. gün kesilen koyunların
meme dokusu kesitlerinin histopatolojik muayenesinde Galactophoritis et
mastitis catarrhalis acuta, 7. günden sonra kesilenlerde ise mastitis interstitialis
nonpurulenta geliştiği saptandı.
B. cereus'un ineklerde ve koyunlarda bir mastitis etkeni olarak düşünülmesi
gerektiği kanısına varıldı .
