VERİMLİLİK, EKONOMİK BÜYÜME VE SAĞLIK İLİŞKİSİ; TÜRKİYE İÇİN DOĞRUSAL OLMAYAN NEDENSELLİK TESTİ

Öz

Ekonomik büyüme literatüründe, sağlıklı bireyler beşeri sermayenin bir bileşeni olarak görülmektedir. İçsel büyüme teorilerinde, beşeri sermaye ekonomik büyümenin belirleyicilerinden biri olarak bilinmektedir. Dolayısıyla sağlık göstergesi büyüme için önemli bir faktördür. Çalışmadaki amaç, sağlık göstergesinin ekonomik büyüme ile ilişkisinin olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Bu bağlamda sağlık göstergesi ile ekonomik büyüme arasında doğrusal olmayan bir nedensellik test edilmiştir. Sonuçlara göre, ekonomik büyüme ve sağlık göstergesi arasında çift yönlü ve doğrusal olmayan bir nedensellik ilişkisi belirlenmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ekonomik Büyüme, Doğrusal olmayan nedensellik, Beşeri sermayeJel Sınıflandırması: O40, B23, I150

PRODUCTIVITY, ECONOMIC GROWTH AND HEALTH RELATIONS; NONLINEAR CAUSALITY TEST FOR TURKEY

Öz

In the economic growth literature, healthy individuals are seen as a component of human capital. In endogenous growth theory, human capital is known as one of the determinants of economic growth. Therefore the health indicator is an important factor for growth. The purpose of this study is to determine weather the health indicator has a relationship with economic growth or not. In this context, a non-linear causality between health indicators and economic growth has been tested. According to the results, it has been determined that there is a bi-directional nonlinear causality relationship in between the variables of economic growth and health indicator
