Kadınların Annelik Algısına Yönelik Bir Metafor Analizi

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı kadınların annelik algısına ilişkin algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya koymaktır. Nitel araştırma deseninde gerçekleştirilen çalışma, Mart-Temmuz 2022 tarihleri arasında, annelik deneyimine sahip 30 kadın ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından literatür doğrultusunda oluşturulan Bilgi Formu ve Metaforik Algılar Veri Toplama Formu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Metaforik algılar, kadınların “Annelik …. benzer/gibidir. Çünkü, …..” cümlesini tamamlaması ile elde edilmiştir. Görüşmeler derinlemesine görüşme yöntemi kullanılarak, bireysel olarak gerçekleştirilmiş ve betimsel analiz tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Kadınların anneliğe yönelik ürettiği metaforlar dört tema altında toplanmıştır. Bu temalar, (1) memnuniyet/mutluluk (anneliğin olumlu yanlarına yönelik metaforlar içeren), (2) sorumluluk (anneliğin ekstra yönlerine yönelik metaforlar içeren), (3) fedakarlık (önceliğinin çocuğun olduğuna yönelik metaforlar), (4) endişe/korku (anneliğe yönelik stres ve kaygı içeren metaforlar). Kadınlar anneliğin memnuniyet/mutluluk, sorumluluk, endişe/korku ve fedakarlık yönlerine odaklanmışlardır. Kadınların anneliği en fazla, onlara yüklenen ekstra yükler ve sorumluluklar olarak algıladıkları görülmüştür. En az olarak da anneliğin fedakar ve verici olan yönünü algıladıkları görülmüştür. Bu çalışma, anneler ile yakın temas halinde olan ebelerin anneliği anlama ve yaşanan sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmesinde destek olacaktır.

A Metaphor Analysis of Women's Perception of Motherhood

Öz

The aim of this study is to reveal women's perceptions of motherhood through metaphors. The study, which was carried out in a qualitative research design, was conducted with 30 women with motherhood experience between March and July 2022. The data of the research were obtained by using the Information Form and Metaphoric Perceptions Data Collection Form, which were created by the researchers in line with the literature. Metaphoric perceptions, women's “Motherhood …. similar/like. Because, …..” is obtained by completing the sentence. The interviews were carried out individually using the in-depth interview method and analyzed with the descriptive analysis technique. Metaphors produced by women for motherhood were grouped under four themes. These themes were (1) satisfaction/happiness (metaphors about the positive aspects of motherhood), (2) responsibility (metaphors about the extra aspects of motherhood), (3) altruism (metaphors that the child is the priority), (4) anxiety/fear (to motherhood). metaphors for stress and anxiety). Women focused on the satisfaction/happiness, responsibility, worry/fear and sacrifice aspects of motherhood. It has been observed that women perceive motherhood as the extra burdens and responsibilities placed on them the most. At least, it was seen that they perceived the altruistic and giving aspect of motherhood. This study will support midwives who are in close contact with mothers to understand motherhood and to offer solutions to the problems experienced.
