Web Sitelerinde Dijital Ebeveynlere Sunulan İçerik Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rollerinden Bağımsız Olabilir Mi?: 'Bebek.com' Web Sitesi Örneği

Öz

Ebeveynlerin çevrimiçi ortama katılımıyla birlikte, ebeveynliğe dair üretilen dijital içerikler yaygınlaşmış, böylelikle bireyler kendi ebeveynlik rollerine dair ihtiyaç duydukları bilgi ya da önerilere kolaylıkla ulaşabilme imkanını elde etmişlerdir. Ancak dijital ortamda okuyuculara sunulan bu günlük ebeveynlik pratiklerine ilişkin önerilerin toplumsal cinsiyet kodlarından bağımsız olup olmadığı halen önemli bir tartışma konusudur. Bu çerçevede gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın odağını da günümüzde anne ve babalara, ebeveynliğe dair günlük pratikleri hakkında bilgi ve öneriler sunan web site içeriklerinin toplumsal cinsiyet kodlarından bağımsız olup olmadığının incelenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Bu odak noktasından hareketle, gerçekleştirilen örnek olay araştırmasında ‘bebek.com’ isimli web sitesi örnek olay öğesi olarak belirlenmiştir. ‘Bebek.com’, diğer web sitelerinden farklı olarak, kendisini sadece dijital annelere değil, dijital ebeveynlere yönelik içerik sunan bir aile yaşam platformu olarak tanımlamaktadır. Bu bakımdan söz konusu web sitesinde yer alan içerikler, toplumsal cinsiyet kodlarını yansıtıp yansıtmadığı ve ebeveynlik rolünü bir cinsiyet üzerinden konumlandırıp konumlandırmadığı bakımından analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda ise, web sitesinin anne ve babalara toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri doğrultusunda bilgi ve öneriler sunduğu görülmüştür.
