“BOŞLUKLARIN TANRISI” KAVRAMI ÜZERINE BIR DEĞERLENDIRME

Öz

Bu makalede tarihsel bir geçmişe sahip olmasına karşın özellikle kuantum araştırmalarıyla tartışmalara konu olan “boşlukların tanrısı” kavramını ele aldık. Bu amaçla öncelikle kavramın tarihsel gelişimi ve değişimine dikkat çektik. Ayrıca bu kavramın modern bilimle hangi açılardan ilişkilendirildiğini tespit ettik. Sonuçta bu kavramın düşünceye yaptığı olumlu ve olumsuz katkıları klasik teizm açısından değerlendirmeye çalıştık. İslâm düşüncesinde nasıl algılanabileceğine dair bir öngörü sunduk.

EVALUATION ON THE CONCEPT OF “THE GOD OF THE GAPS”

Öz

In this article we dealt with the notion of “the god of the gaps” which, in spite of its history, has become the subject matter of discussions especially upon quantum research. To that end, we first pointed out the historical development and evolution that the notion underwent. Besides, we determined from which angles this notion is associated with modern science. Finally, we tried to evaluate the positive and negative contributions that this notion made to thought from the viewpoint of classical theism. We presented a prediction as to how it can be perceived in Islamic thought.
