FELSEFE, “UYGULANABİLEN” BİR ŞEY MİDİR?

Öz

“Soru sorma”, felsefenin önemli bir yanına karşılık gelmektedir. Sorulan sorulara aranacak yanıtlarla ilgilenme ve bu konuda -kendi yöntemleriyle- yol gösterici, yardımcı olabilme ise belki daha da önemli bir yanını oluşturmaktadır felsefenin. 30-35-40 (ya da daha az) kişinin -bu alandaki- çalışmalarıyla özetlenebilir felsefe tarihi bir açıdan. Diğer yandan düşünme bireysel bir etkinlik olduğu ve her insanın felsefeyi kendi algılama biçimi bulunduğu için, dünyada yaşamakta olan -ve yaşamış- insan sayısı kadar felsefeyle ilgilenme biçimine erişilebilir. Bu bildiride Husserl, Heidegger, Dewey gibi filozofların felsefeye yaklaşım (ve Rorty, Castañeda, Mandt, Cahoone, vb. tarafından konunun ele alınış) farklılıklarına işaret edildikten sonra, Sokrates’in “Sınanmamış hayat, yaşanmaya değmez” söyleminden yola çıkılıp “toplumsal sorumluluğunu bilme”nin işlevine değinilmekte ve filozof ile ‘örnek’ insan bağıntısı sorgulanmaktadır. İlişkin açımlama yapılırken felsefenin ‘örtük’ olma niteliği belirtilerek Gözlükçü’den yardım alınmakta ve sıradan insanın “söylenen” ile “yapılan” (+ “fikir” ile “zikir”) uyumuna verdiği değer anımsatılmaktadır. Kendi çevresine ve çağına sorumlu davranışlar sergileyen bir felsefecinin, benimsediği eğilimin ötesinde, felsefe yapılması yönünde taleplerle karşılaşabileceği işaretlenmektedir. Yazın olanaklarından da yararlanılan irdelemelerin sonunda, ‘uygulamalı felsefe’ bir akademik disiplin olarak dinleyicinin (/okuyucunun) dikkatine sunulmaktadır

Is Philosophy Something “Applicable”?

Abstract

“Question asking” is an important aspect of philosophy. Given answers (to these questions) even constitute a more important philosophical facet, when considering the roles they play. In one way, history of philosophy can be summarized via works of 30-35-40 philosophers. In the other, thinking is a personal activity; and every human has her (/his) particular philosophy grasping form. In this paper, different philosophical trends (i.e. Husserlian, Heideggerian, and Deweyan as mentioned e.g. by Rorty) and different ends of philosophy (i.e. episteme, praxis, and poiesis as stated e.g. by Cahoone) are accepted with different aspects of philosophy (as pointed out e.g. by Casteñada or Mandt). Then, “Unexamined life is not worth living” (the Socratic speech) is questioned (in some ways); for if it can signal towards virtues (and finding some pathways as criterion of an ordinary human conduct for this means). Some kind of consistency (or harmony of action and discourse) is requested there. Tacidness is mentioned as an aspect of philosophy; and Eye-glasser (E.G.) helped me in this search, exploiting essay forms. Philosophy can be demanded by ordinary human in her quest (or exploration) to understand related to “what is going on” from a responsibly acted philosopher, beyond her (/his) trend. At the end, it is mentioned that “applied philosophy” can be suggested as an academic discipline.
