Strategies for the Use of Boron Minerals and Wastes in the Cement

In this study, the use of boron mines, mineralsand boron wastes in cement for various purposes wasinvestigated. Potential areas of use of cement that containing boron were determined in the study. It was tried to investigatethe past researches in the world and Turkey. At the end of these investigations, it was emphasized that the effect of the boron minerals such as colemanite, boricacid, borax, tincal, belite on the cement set period, compressive strength of the cement, isolation industry. Moreover, this literature survey shows that boron cement is used for concrete roads, dam body concretes, high structures and viaducts.It is hoped that this study will evaluate boron mineral sand wastes in various sectors, and that it will she dlight on the work to be done, particularly in the construction and cement sector.

Bor Mineralleri ve Atıklarının Çimentoda Kullanılma Stratejileri

Öz

Bu çalışmada bor madeni, mineralleri ve atıklarının çimentoda kullanım şekilleri (yöntemleri) araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada borlu çimentonun potansiyel kullanım alanlarını ortaya koymak amacıyla ulusal ve uluslararası literatür incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında özellikle kolemanit, borik asit, boraks, tinkal, belit gibi bor mineralleri ve atıklarının çimentonun priz süresine, betonun basınç dayanımına ve yalıtım endüstrisine etkileri vurgulanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın bor mineralleri ve atıklarının değişik sektörlerde değerlendirmesi ve özellikle inşaat ve çimento sektöründe yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutması ümit edilmektedir
