Bu
çalışmada nitratın çeşitli topraklardaki (kumlu, kireçli ve killi) adsorpsiyon
hızları kesikli sistemde incelenmiştir. Kesikli sistem deneysel çalışmaları
ortalama 1 mm boyutunda toprak örnekleriyle 25-500 mg/L konsantrasyon değerleri
aralığında değişen başlangıç nitrat çözeltileri, farklı sıcaklık değerleri (15,
25, 35 ve 45 °C) kullanılarak yürütülmüştür. Adsorpsiyon hız değerlerinin
başlangıç nitrat konsantrasyonu artışıyla arttığı belirlenmiştir. Sıcaklık
artışıyla ise adsorpsiyon hız değerlerinin azaldığı gözlenmiştir. Adsorpsiyon
hız kinetiğinin belirlenmesinde pseudo birinci derece ve ikinci derece hız
ifadeleri kullanılmış ve üç toprak örneği için de nitrat adsorpsiyonunun ikinci
dereceden hız denklemi ile daha iyi temsil edildiği belirlenmiştir.
