Yıl 2020, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 1, 8 - 34, 23.06.2020

Öz

Myth contains the stories that people resort to in order to explain the situations and concepts in their environment. A positive or negative perception can be formed in the minds of people towards a certain situation or concept through myths. Myths have been built in order to strengthen the negative perception against human trafficking in the media. It is aimed to raise awareness about human trafficking and prevent people from turning to human trafficking through the myths built. In this study, it was aimed to reveal anti-human trafficking myths in campaigns against human trafficking in the international arena. For this purpose, the videos of anti-human trafficking campaigns identified within the scope of the study were examined in the semiotic analysis dimension of French linguist Roland Barthes. In the findings obtained, it was found that myths that suggesting human trafficking leads to labor and sexual exploitation of people, were built in general. In this way, it was aimed that campaigns raised awareness against human trafficking and people took action against human trafficking through myths built on the media.

İnsan Ticaretinin Kamu Spotu Reklamlarında Sunumu: Roland Barthes'in Mit Olgusu Üzerinden Göstergebilimsel Analiz
