Dental approach to pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy

Öz

The increase in the prevalence of cancer in children has been accompanied by an expanded use of chemotherapy. The chemotherapeutic agents can cause a variety of oral complications. This article aims to present the dental problems that may occur in children with cancer and receiving chemotherapy and the importance of oral health care in these patients.

Öz

Çocuklarda kanser prevalansındaki artış kemoterapinin daha yaygın kullanımını beraberinde getirmektedir. Tedavi için kullanılan kemoterapötik ajanlar da ağızda çeşitli komplikasyonlara neden olabilmektedir. Bu makalenin amacı, kemoterapi alan kanserli çocuklarda dişlerde oluşabilecek problemler ve ağız bakımının önemini belirtmektir.
