Bazik Kırmızı 46 tekstil boyasının Zonguldak kömüründen elde edilen farklı aktif karbonlar üzerinde adsorpsiyon davranışının karşılaştırılması

Öz

Zonguldak-Kilimli yöresinden alınan kömürlerin fiziksel ve kimyasal yöntemler kullanılarak aktifleştirilmesiyle elde edilen aktif karbonlar Bazik Kırmızı 46 tekstil boyar maddesinin sulu çözeltiden adsorpsiyonu için kullanıldı.  Adsorbent hazırlama yöntemi, başlangıç boya derişimi ve sıcaklığın boyar madde adsorpsiyon üzerine etkileri incelendi. Fiziksel aktivasyon (PAC) ve kimyasal aktivasyonla (CAC) elde edilen aktif karbonlarla, ticari aktif karbonun (AC) renk giderim performansları karşılaştırıldı. Adsorpsiyon deneyleri kesikli sistemde 25, 30 ve 35 °C sabit sıcaklıklarda yürütüldü. Langmuir modelinden belirlenen adsorpsiyon kapasiteleri 25, 30 and 35 °C’de sırasıyla, 62,7,  23,1,  19,6 (PAC);  201,6,  215,1, 231,5 (AC); ve 277,8,  307,7, 323,6 (CAC) mg g-1 olarak bulundu. KOH ile ısıl işlem uygulanarak elde edilen ve en yüksek mikrogözenek ve yüzey alanına sahip CAC numunesinin en yüksek adsorpsiyon kapasitesine sahip olduğu belirlendi. Sonuçlar BR 46’nın CAC ve AC üzerine adsorpsiyonunun endotermik, PAC üzerinde ise ekzotermik karakterde olduğunu gösterdi. Kinetik verilerin sözde-birinci mertebe modeli ile uyumlu olduğu görülmüştür. Yapılan çalışma, kömürün KOH aktivasyonu ile elde edilen aktif karbonun atık sulardan BR 46 tekstil boyasının adsorpsiyonla arıtılmasında etkin olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir. Zonguldak kömüründen elde edilen aktif karbon düşük maliyeti, toksik olmayan özelliği ve mükemmel adsorpsiyon performansı ile sürdürülebilir ticari uygulamalar için yüksek bir potansiyele sahiptir.
