This study examines the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into national (internal) legal systems. In the study, first of all, the general execution of obligations stemming from the Convention is viewed. Then, according to articles 1st and 13* of the Convention, the obligation to incorporate/incorporation duty is scrutinized. Later, in related to these facts, the obligation to incorporate which is a consequence of the Convention's characteristics is considered. At the end, the opposition of member states of the Convention to this obligation is surveyed.
