POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AND IT’S ROLE IN SUPPLYING SUSTAINABLE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Öz

Socio-economic,
technologic and politic changes in today’s work life lead new perspectives in
organizational behavior to increase competitive advantage. A new movement
called positive psycholog
redirects focus away
from healing mental illnesses and pathologies, and toward psychology’s two
forgotten missions: making people’s lives more productive and worthwhile, and
actualizing human potential.

Positive
psychology has spurred a related movements that applied positivity and
strength-based management to the workplace called positive organizational
behavior. This approach applies positively oriented human resource strengths
and psychological capacities that can be measured, developed and managed for
performance improvement in today’s workplace.





The aim
of this study is to explain the concept and importance of positive
psychological capital that human resources have as a renewable and developable
source.

POZİTİF PSİKOLOJİK SERMAYE KAVRAMI VE İŞLETMELERDE SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİR REKABET ÜSTÜNLÜĞÜNÜ SAĞLAMADAKİ ROLÜ

Öz

Günümüzün
rekabetçi ve çalkantılı iş çevresinde, çalışanların teknolojik, ekonomik,
siyasi, sosyal gelişme ve değişmeler karşısında daha verimli olmalarını ve
örgütün rekabetçi gücünü artırmalarını sağlayacak çare arayışları, örgütsel
davranış alanında yeni yaklaşımların doğmasını sağlamıştır.



Psikolojide
ortaya çıkan pozitif yaklaşım, uzun yıllardır zihinsel hastalıkları
iyileştirmeye odaklanan psikolojinin, unutulan, “insanların hayatlarını daha
anlamlı ve verimli kılma, potansiyellerini açığa çıkarma” misyonunu tekrar
canlandırmıştır. Pozitif psikoloji hareketinin örgütsel davranışa uyarlanması
neticesinde ortaya çıkan pozitif örgütsel davranış yaklaşımı, çalışanları hep
olumsuz bakış açısıyla değerlendiren yöneticilerin, onları pozitif bir
yaklaşımla değerlendirmeleri ve sahip oldukları pozitif psikolojik
sermayelerini geliştirmeleri gereğini ortaya çıkarmıştır.



Bu
çalışmanın amacı, işletmelerin yenilenebilen ve geliştirilebilen rekabetçi
kaynağı olan insan unsurunun sahip olduğu sermaye türü olan pozitif psikolojik
sermaye kavramını ve bileşenlerini tanıtmak, işletmelerde bu sermaye türüne
neden önem verilmesi gerektiğini, sürdürülebilir rekabet üstünlüğünü sağlama
bakımından sahip olduğu rolü ortaya koyarak literatüre katkıda bulunmaktır.
