Öz-yeterlik ve bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi ilişkisinde mükemmeliyetçiliğin aracı rolü

Öz

Bu çalışmada öz-yeterlik ile bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi arasındaki ilişkide mükemmeliyetçiliğin yüksek standartlar ve çelişki alt boyutlarının aracı rollerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma Ankara’da bulunan üç devlet üniversitesinin ve iki özel üniversitenin İşletme Fakülteleri ile İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültelerinde öğrenim gören 361 (236 kadın ve 125 erkek) öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Hipotezlerin test edilmesinde Pearson korelasyon katsayısı ve PROCESS Macro analizleri kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre, öz-yeterliğin anlamlı ve pozitif yönde yüksek standartlar alt boyutu ve bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi ile ilişkili olduğu bulunmuştur. Yüksek standartlar alt boyutunun öz-yeterlik ve bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi arasında anlamlı olarak aracı role sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, öz-yeterliğin negatif ve anlamlı olarak çelişki alt boyutu ile ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Diğer yandan, çelişki alt boyutunun öz-yeterlik ile bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi arasındaki ilişkide aracı role sahip olmadığı saptanmıştır. Sonuçlar bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi üzerinde öz-yeterliğin ve mükemmeliyetçiliğin yüksek standartlar boyutunun doğrudan etkisini göstermektedir. Bunun ötesinde, bireylerin öz-yeterlik düzeylerinin yüksek olması kendilerine yüksek standartlar koymalarına yol açmakta ve böylelikle bireysel girişimcilik yönelimlerini de arttırmaktadır. Bu çalışma öz-yeterlik ile bireysel girişimcilik yönelimi ilişkisinde mükemmeliyetçiliğin etkilerini ilk kez ortaya koyması açısından ilgili literatüre katkı sağlamaktadır.

The mediating role of perfectionism in the relationship between self-efficacy and individual entrepreneurial orientation

Öz

In this study, it is aimed to examine the mediating roles of high standards and discrepancy sub-dimensions of perfectionism in the relationship between self-efficacy and individual entrepreneurial orientation. The research was conducted on 361 (236 female and 125 male) university students from the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of three state and two private universities in Ankara. The Pearson correlation coefficient and PROCESS Macro analyses were used to test the hypotheses. According to the results, it was found that self-efficacy significantly and positively related to high standards and individual entrepreneurial orientation. It was seen that the sub-dimension of high standards has a significant mediating role between self-efficacy and individual entrepreneurial orientation. Furthermore, it was found that self-efficacy is negatively and significantly related to discrepancy sub-dimension. However, it was found that the discrepancy sub-dimension did not have a mediating role on the relationship between self-efficacy and individual entrepreneurial orientation. The results showed that self-efficacy and high standards dimension of perfectionism had significant direct effects on individual entrepreneurial orientation. Moreover, higher levels of self-efficacy cause individuals to set higher standards for themselves and thus increase their individual entrepreneurial orientation. This study contributes to the relevant literature by revealing the effects of perfectionism on the self-efficacy and individual entrepreneurial orientation relationship for the first time.
