Öz

Stoma açılması, yaşamı çok boyutlu olarak etkilemektedir. Yeni yaşam tarzına uyum sürecinde, ameliyat sonrası stomal ve peristomal komplikasyonların gelişmesi, bu süreci daha da zorlaştırmaktadır. Komplikasyonların önlenmesinde veya gelişen komplikasyonların yönetiminde stoma ve yara bakım hemşirelerine önemli görevler düşmektedir. Olgu sunumumuzda, obezite nedeniyle stomal retraksiyon komplikasyonu gelişen bir bireye verilen hemşirelik bakımı ve eğitimi ele alınmaktadır. Zor bir stomanın yönetiminde,  stoma ve yara bakım hemşiresinin liderliğindeki ekip işbirliğinin etkisi somut olarak ortaya konulmuştur.
