Avrupa Birliği'nin Bölgesel Ekonomik Kalkınma Politikası

Öz

Avrupa Birliği dünyanın en önemli ekonomik entegrasyonlarından biri olmasına rağmen gerek Birlik ülkeleri arasında gerekse de Birlik ülkeleri içinde refah düzeyleri bakımında önemli farklılıklar bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle Avrupa Birliği tarafından yerel ve bölgesel ekonomik kalkınma politikası bölgeler arasındaki gelir eşitsizliğini ortadan kaldırmak için 1957 Roma Anlaşması’ndan itibaren başvurulan en önemli politikalardan biri olmuştur. Avrupa Birliği bölgesel politikalar ile her bölgeyi kendi potansiyeline uygun desteklemeyi ve bu bölgelerdeki yatırımlar için ihtiyaç duyulan fonları aktararak bölgesel düzeyde ekonomik büyümeyi artırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı da Avrupa Birliği tarafından uygulanan bölgesel kalkınma politikaları tarihsel süreçte ele almak ve bu politikaların uygulamadaki sonuçlarını yakınsama ve ıraksama teorileri bağlamında ortaya koymaktır
